You’ve made it to the midway point! Teaching coding independently is no small feat, and we want to support you to continue teaching through the end of the school year. How is it going? Are you near your 25 lessons goal? This workshop is designed to assess your progress from the previous semester, reflect on your students’ learnings in the first semester, and plan out your lessons for the rest of the school year.
The Challenge
There are two sections in this workshop:
Self Check-in & Plan Ahead | Answer a series of questions to assess your progress from last semester and use the platform with a calendar to plan your lessons for the year.
Prepare for Your Next Lesson(s) | Set yourself up for success by preparing to deliver your next few lessons.
Answer the following questions to gauge your progress from the previous semester. You will need to log into the 9 Dots platform. Click here to log in.
Your goal is to teach 25 lessons or the fifth lesson of the third module in your grade level. Here is the breakdown:
Module 1: 10 Lessons
Module 2: 10 Lessons - currently, you should be nearing this module or have already started it.
Module 3: Project Module - First 5 lessons
Note: 6th grade modules differ and have four modules
Please use the calendar handout available to you for this workshop to plan out your lessons for the rest of the semester. After planning your lessons on your calendar, please answer the following questions:

Note: Grades 3,5, and 6 start by first designing a character and then coding it.
