Summer Kickoff - CUSD
Welcome! We are so excited that you are joining us at Summer Kickoff. Summer Kickoff will provide you with the knowledge and resources you need to feel prepared for incorporating coding in your classroom this school year. Whether this is your first year or fourth year partnering with us, you will find this training to be relevant to your experiences and will meet your needs. Level 1
This session is for Level 1 teachers. Teachers new to the program will get an overview of what 9 Dots training will look like.
Level 1
This session is for Level 2 teachers. Returning teachers will get an overview of what 9 Dots training will look like.
Level 3
This session is for Level 3 teachers. Teachers will plan and prepare to teach 9 Dots as an independent teacher.
Reccomended for experienced Level 3 teachers. Teachers will try using Python in this coding activity.
10:00-11:00: Curriculum Overview or Coding Practice

These sessions are for Level 1 teachers and/or those who have changed grade level this coming school year to get an overview of the coding concepts specific to their grade level.

This session is for all returning 9 Dots teachers who are teaching the same grade level as last year.
Teachers will have a chance to practice coding challenges and complete their teacher certification modules with support from 9 Dots staff as needed.

De-mystify AI, how it is created and how it works. Learn about an AI tool you can use as an educator.
Recommended for upper grade teachers. Teachers will explore different Computer Science Careers.
Recommended for teachers building their confidence in using technology with a focus on navigating chromebooks.
